Walking is at the heart of YOG and we do loads of it! From walking on a summer evening by the Ouse to bagging a snowy munro in the Cairngorms, there’s a full programme of walks on offer to suit most abilities, and all weathers!
Sunday Walks are generally between 10 and 12 miles in length and usually start from locations less than an hour’s drive away.
We usually meet at Nunnery Lane Car Park (NLCP), York about 8:45am. Here, anyone without their own vehicle can get a lift. We aim to set off at 9am to the walk’s start point. Alternatively, you can drive straight to the walk’s start point.
Tuesday Evening Walks
Tuesday Evening Walks are generally less than 6 miles in length and usually start from locations within walking or cycling distance from the centre of York.
